About the Role
The role of a research nurse may vary daily depending on specific studies or trials in which you're participating. Clinical research nurses are tasked with communicating clinical protocols to patients and also conveying patient data to research coordinators. Analytical skills. Nurses are often responsible for providing both qualitative and quantitative data to research coordinators, which calls for keen powers of analysis.
JOB DESCRIPTION:
Provides clinical and administrative nursing support for research trials, studies, and projects.
Recruits and screens potential participants.
Performs patient/research subject evaluations, administers medications and research instruments and collects data.
May assist with surgical procedures.
Provides patient education related to study.
Makes referrals to in-house or community professionals.
Follows-up with project participants in accordance with established standards and protocols.
May coordinate staffing or scheduling assignments.
Performs related responsibilities as required. Employees in this classification may be required to work with, take specific precautions against and/or be immunized against potentially hazardous agents.
Requirements
.MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
Licensed as a Registered Nurse in the state of Florida and one year of related nursing experience is prefered.
This position must be credentialed through Advance Practice Group under the RNII category.
Must past the state mandated background check
Ability to communicate effectively with Physicians and research supervisors
Basic statistical knowledge
Quality imprvement or patient safety knowledge and experience.
Presentation skills and experience.
Work Hours:: 8am-4:30pm (TBA)
